About the role
TL;DR
Build and operate production ML systems for Twelve Labs' Pegasus video-language model.
- •Twelve Labs is building the intelligence layer for video data, enabling machines to understand video content like humans.
- •This role focuses on the Pegasus model, a video-language model that analyzes visuals, speech, audio, and on-screen text to extract structured, time-based metadata.
- •Key Responsibilities Build, improve, and operate production ML systems for Pegasus, focusing on reliability and performance.
- •Develop systems for serving Video Language Models (VLMs) and handling multimodal data.
- •Work across core ML stack components including deployment, inference, evaluation, and monitoring.
- •Make strong technical decisions and drive execution with ownership.
- •Requirements Strong software engineering and machine learning fundamentals.
- •Experience building and shipping ML systems in production.
- •Experience with multimodal data (computer vision, NLP, LLMs, VLMs).
- •Experience with distributed ML or data workflows, ideally in Kubernetes.
- •Strong engineering judgment for production environments.
