About the role
TL;DR
Manage engineering teams building and operating core security systems for threat detection and response.
- •Lead two engineering teams responsible for core security systems including the Detection Engine, Threat Intelligence Platform, SOAR, and Case Management.
- •This role is hands-on, with approximately 80% management and 20% technical contribution through architecture and design reviews.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage and develop two engineering teams focused on security platforms.
- •Own production operations, including on-call rotations and incident management.
- •Define and own the roadmap for key security systems, balancing operator needs and platform health.
- •Collaborate with security practitioners (SOC, Detection Engineering, Threat Intelligence) to define requirements and ensure platform extensibility.
- •Requirements 8+ years in software or security engineering, with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
- •Strong background in data-intensive systems and experience with Go and Python.
- •Experience with LLM/agent infrastructure and building agentic workflows.
- •Working knowledge of the detection and response domain.
