About the role
TL;DR
Owns cross-team delivery for an AI native engineering organization, managing plans, dependencies, and risks.
- •Tekion is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to own the cross-team delivery machinery for a 20-person AI native engineering organization.
- •This is a technical program ownership role, not project coordination.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the master delivery plan across two Scrum teams and shared resources.
- •Track and resolve cross-team dependencies with platform teams, backend services, and external vendors.
- •Run the delivery rhythm, including sprint reviews, cross-team syncs, and risk escalation forums.
- •Identify, quantify, and manage delivery risks, surfacing blockers early and driving resolution.
- •Own cross-team technical communication, translating engineering status for stakeholders and business urgency back to engineering.
- •Requirements 12+ years of technical program management experience, with at least 3 years at Staff level managing multi-team programs at SaaS or platform companies.
- •Strong technical depth to understand architecture diagrams, Kafka dependency graphs, and API contract blockers.
- •Proven experience managing complex, multi-team delivery programs with many external dependencies.
- •Expert facilitation of engineering delivery rituals like sprint planning, dependency reviews, and release gates.
- •Deep understanding of AI-native product delivery, including eval requirements, model versioning, and non-deterministic outputs.
