Lead the new Forward Deployed Engineering function, building solutions in customer environments and driving product innovation.
- •Tacto is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering Lead to build and lead a new function that bridges the gap between their AI platform and industrial customers' unique environments.
- •This role involves hands-on technical work, customer engagement, and productizing edge solutions.
- •Key Responsibilities Build the Forward Deployed Engineering function from scratch, defining its charter, operating model, and quality bar.
- •Hire and lead a team of exceptional Forward Deployed Engineers.
- •Own customer engagement processes, from scoping and embedding to building and handover.
- •Develop solutions hands-on within customer environments using Tacto's platform and AI capabilities.
- •Collaborate with Product and Engineering to convert customer-specific solutions into platform features.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience in forward-deployed engineering, technical program leadership, or a similar role.
- •Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data pipelines and integration architecture. 1+ years of experience leading engineers or building initiatives from zero.
- •Strong product instinct and ability to identify patterns for productization.
- •Native or C1 German and fluent English.
