About the role
TL;DR
Own application and product security, build secure patterns, and automate security processes.
- •As our Senior Application Security Engineer, you'll be the technical owner of application and product security at Starburst, building secure-by-default patterns, embedding security controls earlier in the development lifecycle, and creating automation.
- •You'll conduct autonomous red-teaming, manage vulnerabilities, and advance supply chain security.
- •Key Responsibilities Own and mature the Application Security program, scaling it across a large engineering organization.
- •Shift security left into the SDLC, embedding secure-by-default patterns and automated checks.
- •Build autonomous red-teaming and threat hunting against our own products.
- •Own vulnerability management for shipped software across enterprise platform and SaaS.
- •Own application and supply chain security tooling (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning).
- •Requirements 5-7 years of experience in application security or a related technical role.
- •Deep command of application and product security fundamentals.
- •Proven experience embedding security into the SDLC and scaling security processes.
- •Demonstrated experience running vulnerability management for shipped software at scale.
- •Offensive security experience and a drive to automate it.
