Lead engineering teams to enhance developer productivity and platform scalability.
- •Slice is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead its Developer Experience organization.
- •This role is crucial for empowering hundreds of engineers to build, test, deploy, and operate software efficiently and reliably.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for the internal developer platform, infrastructure, CI/CD systems, engineering tooling, and cloud platform.
- •Remove friction from the software development lifecycle and improve developer productivity.
- •Partner with Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering leadership to define technical strategy and prioritize investments.
- •Provide technical direction, make architectural decisions, and coach engineering managers and senior engineers.
- •Shape the future of the engineering organization and foster an environment for engineers to do their best work.
- •Requirements Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams or engineering managers in a fast-growing technology organization.
- •Strong technical background in backend systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- •Experience building and scaling internal developer platforms, engineering tooling, or infrastructure organizations.
- •Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD practices.
- •Experience defining engineering strategy, setting technical direction, and delivering large cross-functional initiatives.
