About the role
TL;DR
Build and own the finance function end-to-end for a fast-growing observability platform.
- •SigNoz is seeking a Head of Finance to build and own the finance function end-to-end.
- •This role is crucial for scaling the company's financial operations to support rapid growth.
- •Key Responsibilities Oversee monthly close, revenue recognition, statutory audits, and AR/collections.
- •Manage multi-entity finance across US and India, including intercompany and transfer pricing.
- •Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations (GST, TDS, ROC/MCA, FEMA, RBI) and ESOP administration.
- •Partner with engineering on gross margin analysis, focusing on infrastructure spend and cost per ingested GB.
- •Develop FP&A functions, including annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and actionable MIS.
- •Manage cash flow, runway, USD/INR exposure, and treasury operations.
- •Requirements CA with 8-12 years of post-qualification experience.
- •Proven experience owning monthly closes and statutory audits.
- •Ability to build financial models from operating drivers and communicate learnings.
- •Working fluency in Indian startup compliance (GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, ESOP taxation).
- •Comfortable working with incomplete data and delivering defensible answers.
- •Strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
