TL;DR
Lead software architecture strategy, governance, and evolution for AR technology products.
- •Red 6 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Software Architecture to define, govern, and evolve the software architecture across their AR technology product portfolio.
- •This role establishes long-term technical strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures.
- •Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical authority for enterprise software architecture.
- •Define and maintain the long-term software architecture roadmap.
- •Lead architectural definition across embedded software, real-time rendering, simulation, cloud, and AI/ML services.
- •Establish software architecture governance and drive adoption of modular, scalable architectures.
- •Provide technical leadership for AI-enabled capabilities and guide software architecture supporting mixed reality.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline; Master's preferred. 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience with at least 8 years leading large-scale software architecture initiatives.
- •Demonstrated experience defining enterprise software architectures spanning embedded systems, distributed computing, cloud platforms, and real-time applications.
- •Experience developing and certifying flight or safety critical software.
- •Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
