About the role
TL;DR
Software Engineer to build and maintain the merchant onboarding platform.
- •The Boarding domain builds and maintains the platform that onboards merchants onto PPRO's network.
- •As a Software Engineer, you will own live, public-facing APIs built to handle real scale and take on moderately complex problems.
- •Key Responsibilities Build, test, and operate services within the Boarding platform, following the "you build it, you run it" mindset.
- •Work largely independently on team-scoped tasks, seeking guidance from senior teammates and your manager on ambiguous or cross-team topics.
- •Write testable, decoupled, readable code and tests across the pyramid (unit → integration).
- •Participate in incident response for your team's services and contribute to blameless postmortems.
- •Requirements 3–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- •Comfortable with changing priorities and re-prioritizing your own work.
- •Strong sense of ownership and proactive risk/blocker surfacing.
- •Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
