About the role
TL;DR
Analyze financial data, build reports, and support accounting functions using SQL and Python.
- •PayJoy is a mission-first credit provider dedicated to helping under-served customers in emerging markets achieve financial stability and success.
- •This role supports the accounting and finance teams by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
- •Key Responsibilities Extract, clean, and transform data from the company's data warehouse (via Hex, SQL, and Python) to produce recurring and ad hoc reports.
- •Build and maintain reports that directly support month-end and year-end close.
- •Support depreciation and amortisation modelling for financed devices.
- •Assist with preparation of schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- •Reconcile data warehouse outputs to the general ledger and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. 1-3 years of experience in a financial analysis, reporting, or accounting-support role.
- •Working knowledge of basic financial and accounting concepts.
- •Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- •Working proficiency in Python for data analysis and report automation.
