TL;DR
Lead global tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and planning for a growing tech company.
- •As Oura scales its global footprint and transitions through major corporate milestones, we are seeking a visionary, hands-on VP of Global Tax to lead our tax organization through its next chapter of hyper-growth, public-readiness, and digital transformation.
- •This role requires a strategic leader with multinational experience, ASC 740 expertise, and strong cross-border capabilities, able to translate complex tax matters into clear, executive-level decisions.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead OURA's global tax strategy (income, indirect, transfer pricing, and reporting) and design scalable tax structures.
- •Own the global tax provision process under US GAAP (ASC 740) and ensure robust Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR / SOX 404).
- •Drive improvements in tax processes to simplify, automate, and improve speed and quality in partnership with Finance and IT teams.
- •Assess and structure the tax implications of potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- •Lead the defense of all tax audits globally.
- •Requirements 20+ years of progressive tax leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a high-growth technology (SaaS + Hardware) environment and multinational organization.
- •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- •MST, JD, or CPA is strongly preferred.
- •Deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax reporting, including tax accounting under US GAAP and ASC 740.
- •Hands-on experience preparing a company to go public and building out SOX-compliant tax departments.
- •Direct experience implementing or overseeing integrations of tax technologies.
