About the role
TL;DR
Lead accounting function, own close, and build scalable financial systems and controls.
- •Observable Space is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead its accounting function through a period of significant growth, owning the close process and establishing scalable systems and controls.
- •This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strategic and detailed operational capabilities, thriving in ambiguity to build the financial infrastructure for a maturing company.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the monthly and quarterly close and consolidation, delivering timely, accurate financials in accordance with US GAAP.
- •Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting team.
- •Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties.
- •Drive the implementation and optimization of an ERP system.
- •Requirements CPA required; public accounting background strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a controller-level leadership role.
- •Manufacturing or hardware accounting experience.
- •Hands-on ERP implementation experience strongly preferred.
- •Track record of building teams, processes, and controls in a high-growth or scaling company.
