About the role
TL;DR
Develop APIs and backend services for B2B customers using Python and Django.
- •Octopus Energy is seeking a Backend Developer to build the bridge between business operations, data, and B2B customers.
- •You will develop central platform interfaces and shape the technical future of their customer portal using Python and Django.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain central APIs and web services with Python & Django.
- •Continuously evolve the platform, bring new features to market, and ensure high code quality.
- •Build stable, automated connectors between CRM, external service providers, and the internal platform.
- •Deploy and operate applications reliably in AWS cloud infrastructure.
- •Requirements Solid, multi-year experience in development with Python and the Django Framework.
- •Full ownership of your area, driving topics independently and acting as a strong link to global teams.
- •Good sense for clean architecture patterns and ability to write maintainable code.
- •Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- •Deep understanding of B2B security standards and authentication methods.
