TL;DR
Plan and manage stratospheric balloon flight activities, ensuring successful mission execution.
- •Near Space Labs is seeking a dynamic operations professional with expertise in aviation, weather, or airspace regulations to join their Mission Planning & Control Team.
- •This role is responsible for planning and managing flight activities for stratospheric balloon missions.
- •Key Responsibilities Plan, create, and execute flight trajectories.
- •Evaluate and interpret weather maps for capture missions.
- •Coordinate flights with appropriate air traffic controls.
- •Generate failure reports for malfunctions.
- •Collaborate with Field Operations staff during mission planning and execution.
- •Requirements 2+ years experience in aviation or related fields. 1+ years experience reading and interpreting weather forecasts.
- •Well versed in US airspace regulation and airspace maps.
- •Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- •Use of good judgment and effective decision making in stressful situations.
