About the role
TL;DR
Manage and scale European payment operations, building partnerships and processes for global expansion.
- •This role will help design, build and run Monzo’s European payments capabilities as they expand across Europe.
- •You’ll be setting up and managing partnerships, leading complex implementation projects, and building operational processes that are fit to scale globally.
- •Key Responsibilities Support partner selection and own relationships with new partners and payment schemes.
- •Manage payment scheme implementation projects, onboarding and adherence processes.
- •Partner with payments engineering and EU product teams to build, launch, and run new payment systems in Europe.
- •Build new back office processes to manage and scale EU payment systems.
- •Seek out and prioritise issues to facilitate continuous improvement for customers post-launch.
- •Requirements Experience working with payment systems and schemes, particularly within Spain.
- •Familiarity with payments regulations that apply to banks within Europe.
- •Self-starter, proactive, strong sense of ownership, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- •Experience managing relationships with a wide range of suppliers.
- •Ability to build and scale complex operational systems.
