About the role
TL;DR
Build and productionize application layer systems for robot data collection and teleoperation.
- •Mind Robotics is building robots that learn from real-world experience.
- •As a founding engineer on the application layer team, you will harden and productionize systems for scale, shipping code that runs on real hardware in real factories and directly impacts robot behavior.
- •Key Responsibilities Build the field capture stack, including edge software for data collection rigs.
- •Ship the teleop stack, including collection, evaluation, and operator tooling.
- •Streamline annotation methods and models to increase labeling efficiency.
- •Contribute to tooling and configuration systems for repeatable deployment.
- •Support live systems by debugging issues and instrumenting for observability.
- •Requirements 3+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
- •Strong programming fundamentals and comfort working across the stack (edge devices, services, data pipelines).
- •Experience with real-time data pipelines, edge computing, device/fleet management, or robotics/sensor systems.
- •Bias for ownership and experience supporting systems in the field.
- •Clear communication and collaboration skills.
