About the role
TL;DR
Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate the memory layer for AI agents.
- •Mem0 is building the memory layer for AI agents, enabling them to remember conversations and learn from interactions.
- •This role focuses on the backend systems powering this platform, involving API design, data modeling, and production operations.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and ship REST APIs, including versioning, auth, and documentation.
- •Model data across relational (Postgres) and graph (Neo4j) databases.
- •Debug and resolve customer issues end-to-end.
- •Optimize system performance through query tuning, indexing, and caching.
- •Build services using Python, including async programming and background jobs.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience building backend systems and shipping REST APIs.
- •Strong Python fundamentals with experience in async programming and web frameworks.
- •Solid SQL skills and experience with query tuning in Postgres/MySQL.
- •Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
- •Comfortable running services on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes.
