  • Kepler Communications is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to contribute to satellite on-board software, payload software, IoT modules, and ground equipment.
  • This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology and gain hands-on experience.
  • Key Responsibilities Design and develop reliable, high-quality software for satellites and ground systems.
  • Write thorough tests and documentation.
  • Participate in software design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with electrical, digital design, and operations teams.
  • Requirements Demonstrated experience working in embedded systems.
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or equivalent degree program and returning to studies after the internship.
  • Strong software design, development, testing, and debugging skills.
  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Experience with embedded operating systems and build systems (e.g., OpenEmbedded/Yocto, FreeRTOS).
  • Embedded Linux experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use Git effectively.
  • Willingness to leverage AI-assisted engineering tools.
  • Available for a full-time internship beginning January 2027 for 4 months.
  • Must work on-site at the Toronto office.
