- •Justworks is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead its nascent Data Governance team.
- •This player-coach role involves managing a growing team while owning programs, standards, and cross-functional relationships to ensure trustworthy analytics.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Data Governance team, setting clear priorities and providing coaching.
- •Own the foundational governance buildout, including metadata standards, business domain framework, and glossary.
- •Run ongoing governance programs such as asset certification, data quality observability, and standards enforcement.
- •Own the data catalog (Atlan), ensuring accuracy and driving adoption.
- •Drive an AI-native way of working to accelerate data governance maturity.
- •Requirements 8+ years of experience in a data role with hands-on SQL and dbt experience. 3+ years in people management with a track record of developing ICs.
- •Experience owning data governance, data quality, or data standards programs.
- •Strong proficiency in SQL and working experience with dbt.
- •Demonstrated experience managing data catalogs or governance tooling (Atlan, Alation, Collibra, or similar).
