TL;DR
Lead Mechanical Engineer to own advanced engineering and build manufacturing hardware.
- •As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will own advanced engineering for Lykos, building the hardware that turns process science into repeatable processes.
- •This is a builder's role focused on designing, procuring, building, commissioning, and debugging real hardware.
- •Key Responsibilities Own mechanical engineering end to end: architecture, design, analysis, build, commissioning, and sustaining engineering.
- •Design and integrate additive manufacturing capability, automation, and robotics into production workflows.
- •Integrate laser-enabled processing hardware with material workflows.
- •Establish and enforce engineering discipline and standards.
- •Recruit, mentor, and lead a mechanical engineering and technician team.
- •Requirements 8+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, or defense.
- •Direct expertise in CNC machining, fixturing, metal finishing, and metrology.
- •Demonstrated experience designing and deploying automation and robotics.
- •Expert CAD capability (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or equivalent) with analysis experience.
- •Proven track record taking hardware from concept through build, commissioning, and debug.
