Owns the end-to-end data platform, including ingestion, transformation, and AI agent development.
- •Hazel is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own their data warehouse, which is critical for their AI coworker product.
- •This role involves managing tens of terabytes of data and thousands of data tables, ensuring reliability and rapid integration of new data sources.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the data platform end to end: ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
- •Develop AI agents that write, build, and test new integrations end-to-end.
- •Optimize ingestion pipelines for low-latency data availability.
- •Build the data transformation layer for clean, predictable data.
- •Ship new source integrations end to end.
- •Requirements 4+ years building production data infrastructure with ownership of a warehouse.
- •Deep understanding of dbt and SQL, with opinions on data modeling.
- •Strong Python skills for ingestion layer development.
- •Experience owning an orchestrator in production (Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, Prefect).
- •AI-native in practice, experienced with coding agents.
