About the role
TL;DR
Execution partner to President & COO, driving strategy and operations.
- •Serve as the execution partner to Handshake's President & COO, driving strategic initiatives and operational rhythm across the company.
- •This role is a proven accelerator, with past occupants moving into significant leadership positions.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage the operating rhythm of the business, including planning, staff meetings, and board prep.
- •Proactively develop proposed solutions to business challenges and drive them to completion.
- •Provide an independent, data-driven view of business performance, interrogating datasets and building models.
- •Craft impactful communications for the board, executives, and partners.
- •Lead strategic projects end-to-end, navigating resistance and ensuring progress.
- •Identify and implement AI leverage across the business to enhance team efficiency.
- •Represent the President & COO in meetings with judgment and discretion.
- •Requirements Proven experience as a right-hand to a demanding senior leader, carrying work end-to-end.
- •Proactive and self-directed, with a history of taking initiative.
- •Ability to synthesize complex discussions into clear, actionable summaries.
- •Resilience in driving projects forward despite pushback.
- •Analytical self-sufficiency, including financial modeling and data analysis (SQL or ability to learn quickly).
- •Exceptional writing skills with minimal need for editing.
- •Low ego and high trust, earning influence through judgment, clarity, and follow-through.
