- •Grafana Labs is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Synthetic Monitoring squad.
- •This role is full-stack, focusing on building and operating Grafana Cloud Synthetic Monitoring, a distributed system used globally to proactively verify critical user journeys, APIs, and services.
- •Key Responsibilities Own features end-to-end across the stack, from API and data model design in Go to user-facing workflows in TypeScript/React.
- •Design and evolve systems, contributing to architectural decisions on scheduling, probe lifecycle, telemetry ingestion, and API design.
- •Build cross-product and AI-assisted workflows connecting Synthetic Monitoring to the wider Grafana Cloud platform.
- •Ensure quality through testing, observability, and documentation, as reliability is a key feature.
- •Requirements Comfortable working in a remote-first company with strong communication skills.
- •Strong Go experience, or a transferable background from other systems languages (Rust, Java, C++).
- •Operational mindset with experience owning production services and understanding on-call responsibilities.
- •Systems thinking ability to reason about component interactions, failure modes, and operational behavior.
