About the role
TL;DR
Coordinate critical freight movements and driver assignments in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- •Coordinate critical freight movements (air and sea import/export) directly with drivers and corporate clients.
- •This role optimizes operational strategies and has a direct impact on ground operations.
- •Key Responsibilities Assign routes and adjust movements for 30-35 drivers in real-time.
- •Respond reactively to unexpected freight delivery requests and adjust routes based on customs releases.
- •Support drivers on the road by maintaining continuous communication and resolving issues.
- •Inform customs brokers and partners directly about shipment status.
- •Enter and track orders in the dispatch software and partner tools.
- •Requirements Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation or logistics dispatch.
- •Excellent stress management and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- •Strong sense of direction and good geographical knowledge of the Greater Montreal area.
- •Functional bilingualism (French and English), with English required for serving a predominantly English-speaking clientele (approx. 80%).
