TL;DR
Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale GitGuardian's core platform functionalities.
- •GitGuardian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join their Core Squad.
- •This role is crucial for building the logical layer of the GitGuardian platform, ensuring scalability and reliability for core functionalities like authentication, permissions, and billing.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop and migrate customers to the platform, ensuring notifier parity and redesigning notification core.
- •Scale GitHub check runs to handle API rate limits, database load spikes, and large merge requests.
- •Redesign the plan architecture to enable self-service offer assembly by Product and Sales teams.
- •Build external platform integrations including OAuth2 and public APIs.
- •Evolve the existing Django monolith through dependency inversion, typing improvements, and decomposition.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience in web development with strong proficiency in Django (or other Python web frameworks).
- •Experience building web applications, task orchestration, distributed systems, and managing large data flows.
- •Ability to own a project end-to-end: scoping, technical design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- •Proficiency in AI-assisted development workflows.
