About the role
TL;DR
Operate and manage data center critical infrastructure, ensuring reliability and safety.
- •Serve as the on-site SME for data center critical infrastructure, handling escalations and managing risks.
- •Key Responsibilities Handle escalations across the data center and supporting facilities.
- •Manage the design limitations and risks of the site.
- •Audit colocation partners and service providers on their maintenance programs.
- •Own the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities.
- •Act as first responder on-site for incidents, driving resolution with support from engineering and infrastructure SMEs.
- •Requirements Experience operating or leading critical-facilities operations in a live data center.
- •Knowledge of the critical-infrastructure stack (power and cooling).
- •Ability to run change management for high-risk work.
- •Calm and capable first responder when something fails at 3am.
- •Experience auditing, documenting, and improving site operations.
