About the role
TL;DR
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for hyperscale data center operations.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop sourcing strategies for compute, storage, networking equipment, and infrastructure services.
- •Build and manage supplier relationships with OEMs, ODMs, component manufacturers, and service providers.
- •Run competitive bidding, RFx processes, and negotiations, and lead contract negotiations.
- •Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and technology roadmaps.
- •Manage supplier performance through scorecards, KPIs, and quarterly business reviews.
- •Partner with capacity planning, engineering, and program management to forecast infrastructure needs.
- •Requirements Experience in hardware sourcing strategy for data center, hyperscale, or large-scale IT infrastructure.
- •Experience in leading complex contract and pricing negotiations on MSAs, SLAs, and warranties.
- •Ability to read market dynamics and turn them into sourcing and TCO decisions.
- •Experience in building category strategies and managing supplier performance.
- •Experience in partnering with engineering and capacity planning to align procurement to deployment timelines.
