Senior Software Engineer, Security to build and own product and infrastructure security.
- •Flex is hiring its first security engineers to build product and infrastructure security.
- •These roles report directly to the CTO and require software engineers with security as their superpower.
- •Key Responsibilities Threat model critical financial paths like the ledger, card issuing, and payouts.
- •Build secure-by-default infrastructure including IaC guardrails and CI/CD integrity.
- •Own application security, building automated checks and secure defaults into the development lifecycle.
- •Run the vulnerability disclosure program and scope/manage external penetration tests.
- •Build security automation, including AI-assisted triage and review.
- •Requirements Strong software engineering ability in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- •Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/GCP, Terraform, containers, CI/CD).
- •Practical threat modeling on systems with real consequences.
- •Experience with secrets management, workload identity, and service-to-service authorization.
- •Experience handling inbound vulnerability reports.
