- •OnDeck, an Enova company, is seeking a Manager, Underwriting to lead a team focused on small business loan decisioning.
- •This role involves developing front-line managers, setting operational strategy, and driving high-level team performance.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop underwriting supervisors or team leads.
- •Hold direct reports accountable for team performance targets (throughput, quality, turnaround time).
- •Establish consistent standards, workflows, and expectations across teams.
- •Serve as the escalation point for complex or exception decisions.
- •Partner with Credit and Risk to ensure underwriting policy is understood and applied correctly.
- •Requirements 5+ years of underwriting experience in small business or commercial lending. 7+ years managing people, with experience managing other managers or team leads.
- •Strong command of SMB credit fundamentals (cash flow analysis, financial statement review, risk assessment).
- •Proven ability to develop leaders and drive accountability at scale.
- •Experience in a high-volume, technology-enabled lending environment.
