About the role
TL;DR
Food and Beverage Internship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
- •Ready to see how a great restaurant really runs? As a Food & Beverage Intern at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll work in one of our dining outlets alongside our F&B Manager and Supervisor, learning the side of hospitality guests never see: how a shift gets set up, how a busy dinner service stays on track, and how the team pulls together to make every meal part of a trip of a lifetime.
- •Whether you're studying hospitality or business or have recently graduated, this is your chance to get real, hands-on restaurant operations experience, with people who want to teach you and help you build a career in food and beverage.
- •This internship is for hospitality students and recent graduates.
- •To be considered, you should be currently enrolled in a hospitality management (or related) degree program or have graduated from one within the past year.
- •About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort: Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon.
- •Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses.
- •That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest.
- •The resort is also home to two 'Courses with a Mission': Bandon Preserve, an award-winning par-3 course, and Shorty's, which opened in 2024.
- •All net proceeds from both courses fund the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, supporting communities along the South Coast of Oregon.
- •Beyond premier golf, guests delight in various dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants.
- •Whether you're looking to enjoy locally sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.
- •Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike.
- •The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests.
- •We are passionate stewards of our resort, community, and environment.
- •As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way.
- •With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.
- •What You'll Do: Help keep service running smoothly.
- •You'll support the F&B Manager and Supervisor during daily shifts, pitching in wherever the team needs you when the dining room gets busy.
- •You'll see firsthand how the people running a shift keep service flowing and standards high.
- •Take care of our guests.
- •You'll greet guests, handle requests, and help sort out concerns with a calm, professional touch.
- •Many of our guests have planned this trip for years, and how their meal goes is a big part of how they remember it.
- •Learn how a restaurant opens and closes.
- •You'll learn the routines behind every shift: setup, breakdown, cash handling, and securing the outlet at the end of the night.
- •Get behind the scenes of operations.
- •You'll help track stock levels and supplies, assist with scheduling and shift coverage, and sit in on department meetings.
- •Bring your ideas.
- •We're always looking for a better way to do things.
- •Learn our wine and beverage program.
- •Bandon Dunes is known for its award-winning wine list.
- •You'll learn about our selections, proper wine service, and how beverages help shape the guest experience.
- •Help hold the line on quality.
- •You'll keep an eye on service standards, food and beverage presentation, and cleanliness, and follow the policies and safety procedures that keep our guests and team safe.
- •What Makes You a Great Fit: You want a career in food and beverage.
- •Maybe you're studying hospitality, restaurant management, or business, or you've recently graduated.
- •Restaurant or customer service experience helps, but it isn't required.
- •What matters most is that you want to learn how restaurants run.
- •You're good with people.
- •You communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and managers, and you enjoy making someone's experience a little better.
- •You stay steady when it gets busy.
- •Service has its rushes.
- •You can keep track of several things at once, stay calm, and notice the details that make a difference.
- •You're a good teammate.
- •You work well with everyone on the team, help out when someone's in the weeds, and keep a positive, professional attitude.
- •You're open to feedback.
- •You ask questions, take coaching well, and use what you learn to get better each shift.
- •Comfort with basic computer tools helps; we'll teach you our POS system.
- •A Few Things to Know: This is a seasonal internship.
- •It's a hands-on learning position.
- •You'll report to our F&B Manager and F&B Supervisor and won't supervise other employees.

- •Expect a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- •You'll be on the move.
- •Expect to stand and walk for up to five hours at a time and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently.
