TL;DR
Lead networking infrastructure design and implementation for Docker's Sandboxes platform.
- •Docker is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Networking to set the technical direction for the networking stack behind Docker's Sandboxes platform.
- •This role will make architectural decisions impacting Docker's product portfolio and enable expansion into AI and security products.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and operate core networking services for Docker's Sandboxes platform.
- •Build scalable networking infrastructure for microVM orchestration and workload management.
- •Develop high-performance networking data

- •Ensure network reliability, observability, and performance across Sandbox infrastructure.
- •Requirements 10+ years of experience in large-scale cloud or distributed systems, focusing on networking.
- •Experience with microservices, container networking, service mesh, and orchestration.
- •Experience with kernel and user-space networking technologies (Linux, OVS/OVN, DPDK, eBPF).
- •Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
