- •Ditto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship software that brings Ditto's data synchronization capabilities into defense user tools and environments, focusing on mobile applications, plugins, and integrations.
- •This role involves owning complex problems end-to-end, setting technical direction, and mentoring other engineers.
- •Key Responsibilities Drive the design, development, and field deployment of applications and plugins integrating Ditto's data synchronization capabilities.
- •Architect and develop performant Android applications and services for tactical end-user devices in disconnected environments.
- •Drive end-to-end integration design between Ditto's platform and the broader TAK ecosystem.
- •Act as a senior technical escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex issues in live operational environments.
- •Provide technical mentorship to other engineers and help grow the team's depth in Android, ATAK/TAK, and integration architecture.
- •Requirements 8+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in at least one technical area. 4+ years of mobile application development experience with the Android SDK, Kotlin/Java.
- •Strong integration design skills, including API contracts and data synchronization patterns.
- •Demonstrated technical leadership and experience mentoring engineers.
- •Adaptable, problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
