About the role
TL;DR
Principal Research Associate to characterize compounds and develop cellular assays for AI RNA therapeutics.
- •The Principal Research Associate will join Deep Genomics' Platform Biology team, playing a key role in advancing their AI RNA therapeutics discovery platform.
- •This role involves characterizing novel compounds through high-throughput screening and downstream analysis, as well as developing and optimizing cellular and protein assays.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, optimize, and execute robust cell-based assays for compound screening and lead optimization.
- •Culture, maintain, and transfect various mammalian cell lines, including primary cells.
- •Examine molecular and functional endpoints in vitro, such as RNA and protein readouts.
- •Perform standard molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, and Western blotting.
- •Requirements BS or MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- •Strong hands-on experience with mammalian cell line culture, maintenance, and transfection.
- •Good understanding of molecular and cell biology principles.
- •Experienced in designing and executing molecular and cellular assays, with documentation in an electronic lab notebook.
