- •Axle is seeking a Biological Scientist to join their team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, MD.
- •This role involves providing specialized scientific support for research initiatives.
- •Key Responsibilities Participate in the design, planning, conduct, and publication of experiments.
- •Identify and adapt novel methods for the study of relevant issues.
- •Maintain accurate, daily records of experiments and results in laboratory notebooks.
- •Perform a wide variety of complex procedures and techniques including cell culture, DNA analysis, and gene cloning.
- •Interpret, evaluate, and discuss experimental results with the Principal Investigator.
- •Requirements Ph.D. in a related discipline, or equivalent experience (Master's + 3 years, Bachelor's + 5 years).
- •Minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
- •Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and statistical software such as Prism.
- •Demonstrates knowledge of working in a laboratory environment, maintaining accurate records, and following safety procedures.
- •Professional knowledge of the theories, principles, and methods of scientific specialty.
