About the role
TL;DR
Provide technical expertise for enterprise sales, including demos and evaluations.
- •As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations (POVs).
- •You will assess the feasibility of solutions in discussions with customers and partners, and present recommendations to the product team on feature prioritization based on customer and competitor feedback.
- •Key Responsibilities Collaborate with sales teams, technical account managers, CSMs, and other account teams to articulate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- •Provide technical support to customers during trial phases, communicating Datadog's value and working with customers to achieve success on specific issues and concerns.
- •Build trusted customer relationships through deep industry knowledge, technical skills, and customer engagement to technically close complex cases.
- •Provide product and technical briefing to prospective customers.
- •Proactively engage with customers and Datadog's business/technical teams to communicate and take action on product feedback and competitive situations.
- •Requirements 3+ years of experience in sales engineering (pre-sales) or related roles.
- •Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- •Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- •Passion for identifying and solving business-critical customer problems, building and executing evaluation plans with customers.
- •Ability to act proactively and communicate Datadog's value and technical details clearly to all levels of personnel, from engineers to business stakeholders.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and clearly convey both business value and technical benefits.
- •Experience with one of the following programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, .NET.
