About the role
TL;DR
Build and maintain backend services for Forma's benefits platform.
- •Join our Product Experience (PX) team and help build the systems behind Forma's member and admin experience
- •the member portal, admin portal, mobile app, and the integrations that power them.
- •You'll work across the stack to deliver intuitive, secure, and scalable experiences that members and customer admins rely on every day.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain backend services that power Forma's benefits platform.
- •Work across React/TypeScript/NestJS services, contributing to whichever codebase the work requires.
- •Build and consume event-driven integrations using Google Pub/Sub, enabling reliable communication between services.
- •Write well-tested, production-ready code and take ownership of your services in production.
- •Collaborate closely with product, ops, customer success teams and engineers across the different teams to deliver features that serve members, customer admins, and internal operations teams.
- •Requirements 2-5 years of professional experience building backend services and APIs.
- •Strong proficiency in TypeScript/NestJS.
- •Solid experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- •Experience with event-driven architectures or messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, SQS/SNS).
- •Familiarity with cloud infrastructure
- •GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure experience translates well.
