About the role
TL;DR
Lead execution of tax equity and preferred equity investments in clean energy.
- •Crux is seeking a Principal, Investments to lead the execution of tax equity and preferred equity investments.
- •This role involves managing the full lifecycle of these transactions, from origination to long-term portfolio stewardship.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead execution of tax equity and preferred equity investments from term sheet through close.
- •Identify, structure, price, and document transaction risk.
- •Build and review partnership and hybrid models, and develop a strong point of view on assumptions and risk cases.
- •Prepare and present opportunities for the Investment Committee.
- •Co-lead negotiations with sponsors and capital partners.
- •Requirements 8+ years in renewable energy, structured finance, or infrastructure investing with direct tax equity experience.
- •Working command of partnership structures and tax and capital account basis issues.
- •Strong risk judgment and ability to negotiate transaction documents.
- •Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
