About the role
TL;DR
Own and define the architecture of Cortex's infrastructure and platform.
- •Cortex is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to define and own the architecture of its infrastructure and platform.
- •This role is crucial for ensuring scalability, reliability, and security as the company grows.
- •Key Responsibilities Define architecture and best practices for the platform and infrastructure layer.
- •Own the deploy pipeline and lead the move to a GitOps model.
- •Design and harden multi-tenant isolation and blast-radius protection.
- •Lead database stabilization and platform work for performance and availability.
- •Build infrastructure foundations for compliance-heavy deployments.
- •Requirements 10+ years of experience designing, operating, and scaling production systems.
- •Deep expertise in Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- •Strong database proficiency (e.g., Postgres).
- •Architectural judgment at the system and cross-team level.
- •Working proficiency in at least one application language (JVM preferred).
