- •The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and storing surgical instruments and equipment to ensure the operating team has the tools needed for safe patient care.
- •Key Responsibilities Clean, inspect, sterilize, and package instruments and equipment according to standards.
- •Assemble instrument trays and maintain accurate labeling and storage.
- •Operate sterilizers, washers, and related equipment safely and effectively.
- •Monitor and maintain sterile supply inventory.
- •Support patient safety and infection prevention initiatives.
- •Requirements High school diploma or GED required.
- •Prior experience in sterile processing required.
- •CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification preferred.
- •Current BLS certification.
- •Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
