TL;DR
Owns risk and decisioning for Coinflow's payment platform, managing P&L impact and product strategy.
- •Coinflow is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead risk and decisioning for their payment platform.
- •This role involves making real-time decisions on transactions that directly impact the company's P&L, managing approval and loss rates, and developing merchant-facing risk products.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the approval-rate and loss-rate tradeoff, setting policy and being accountable for outcomes.
- •Productize risk models in collaboration with data science teams.
- •Build and analyze loss economics, translating insights into pricing and policy recommendations.
- •Ship merchant-facing risk products for transparency and control.
- •Evaluate and integrate risk infrastructure, including signal providers and decisioning vendors.
- •Requirements 7+ years of product management experience, with ownership of a technically complex or regulated surface area.
- •Experience with products where incorrect decisions incur financial loss (e.g., lending, BNPL, insurance, risk, payments).
- •Fluency with loss economics and unit economics.
- •Experience productizing models and understanding their production behavior.
- •Track record of shipping end-to-end products from ambiguous problems.
- •Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
