About the role
TL;DR
Lead product strategy and team for Cockroach Labs with an AI-first approach.
- •Senior product leader responsible for end-to-end user journeys across Cockroach Labs products, leading a team of PMs and driving strategy, discovery, and outcomes with an AI-first mindset.
- •Key Responsibilities Set product strategy, portfolio investments, and roadmaps across journeys and deployment options.
- •Define North Star metrics and leading/lagging indicators to measure user progress.
- •Lead and develop a team of Staff/Senior Product Managers and PM operating rhythms.
- •Drive customer and journey discovery through qualitative and quantitative research.
- •Create concise Outcome Briefs and balance short-term and long-term bets.
- •Requirements Strong product strategy and execution experience, including prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE).
- •Experience leading and developing product teams and operating rhythms (weekly, quarterly cadence).
- •Customer discovery expertise: JTBD, personas, field and journey shadowing.
- •Comfort partnering with Engineering on feasibility while owning product vision and outcomes.
