About the role
TL;DR
Software Engineer to build and operate systems for private network interconnects.
- •The CNI team builds and operates systems that connect enterprise customers directly to Cloudflare's global network via private interconnects, underpinning key products like Magic Transit and Zero Trust for large clients.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and extend systems for provisioning, monitoring, and orchestrating private network interconnects at scale.
- •Collaborate with Product Management, Network Engineering, and Infrastructure teams on ambitious initiatives.
- •Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- •Work with technologies including Rust, Go, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Linux networking, and BGP routing.
- •Participate in an on-call rotation as part of the "Run What You Build" model.
- •Requirements Systems-level programming experience in Rust, Go, C, or C++.
- •Understanding of IP networking fundamentals: BGP, Layer 3 routing, and interconnect technologies.
- •Experience building, deploying, and debugging distributed systems.
- •Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools into your workflow.
- •Strong collaboration and communication skills.
