TL;DR

- •Clay is seeking an Accounting Engineer to redefine the accounting function by integrating AI and systems.
- •This role bridges accounting, finance systems, and data to drive intelligent financial operations and scale.
- •Key Responsibilities Own monthly close processes, including reconciliations and flux analysis, while driving automation initiatives.
- •Manage and optimize ERP and connected finance systems, including integrations and data pipelines.
- •Develop AI-powered workflows to automate accounting tasks and build dashboards for real-time financial visibility.
- •Partner on cross-functional projects impacting finance infrastructure and GTM analytics.
- •Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting and startup exposure.
- •Hands-on operational accounting experience, including managing closes and reconciliations.
- •Experience implementing or administering a finance system or ERP.
- •Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
- •Demonstrated use of AI tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to improve accounting or finance work.
