TL;DR

Provide paralegal support for legal accounts, including research, document review, and litigation assistance.

  • CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced team to assist with legal accounts.
  • You will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the company's portfolio, contributing to government innovation.
  • Key Responsibilities Provide professional, accurate, and timely paralegal support, including document review, legal research, and drafting legal memoranda.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, privilege reviews, and preparation of legal documents.
  • Maintain documentation of records, correspondence, and case management functions using case management databases.
  • Conduct legal research using tools like LEXIS and Westlaw, and perform legal privilege reviews using eDiscovery platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with government employees and provide status updates to management.
  • Requirements Paralegal certificate, JD, or at least one year of study in an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is helpful.
  • At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
  • Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Hands-on familiarity with computer applications, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and ESI tools.
