TL;DR
Provide paralegal support for legal accounts, including research, document review, and litigation assistance.
- •CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced team to assist with legal accounts.
- •You will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the company's portfolio, contributing to government innovation.
- •Key Responsibilities Provide professional, accurate, and timely paralegal support, including document review, legal research, and drafting legal memoranda.
- •Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, privilege reviews, and preparation of legal documents.
- •Maintain documentation of records, correspondence, and case management functions using case management databases.
- •Conduct legal research using tools like LEXIS and Westlaw, and perform legal privilege reviews using eDiscovery platforms.
- •Communicate professionally with government employees and provide status updates to management.
- •Requirements Paralegal certificate, JD, or at least one year of study in an ABA-accredited law school.
- •At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is helpful.
- •At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
- •Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
- •Excellent written and oral communication skills, and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- •Hands-on familiarity with computer applications, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and ESI tools.
