About the role
TL;DR
Design and operate security for AI infrastructure, including large models and GPU clusters.
- •Causal is building AI capable of predicting the future and identifying actions to alter it, starting with weather.
- •This role focuses on ensuring the security of their advanced AI infrastructure, including large physics models, distributed GPU clusters, and petabyte-scale data.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and deploy robust security architectures for distributed GPU clusters and compute platforms.
- •Drive secure SDLC practices and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- •Own IAM, data governance, and encryption for large-scale data and model checkpoints.
- •Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and implement threat detection.
- •Support customer deployments by navigating strict security and compliance constraints.
- •Requirements Demonstrated experience in security engineering for large-scale distributed or cloud environments.
- •Strong systems and software engineering background (Linux, networking, IaC, Python, Go, or Rust).
- •Deep understanding of ML platform security challenges and protecting model weights.
- •Comfort with complex systems, architectural reviews, and adapting to new constraints.
- •Bias towards real-world impact and end-to-end ownership.
