About the role
TL;DR
Senior Associate for Strategy & Corporate Development at CarOnSale in Berlin.
- •You will work directly with the Director Corporate Development & Strategy on initiatives that shape CarOnSale's future, including corporate strategy, M&A, AI product development, and investor communications.
- •You will gain direct insights into the CEO, COO, and Leadership Team, with real responsibility from day one.
- •Key Responsibilities Shape corporate strategy and new market entries, structuring complex issues and driving recommendations.
- •Identify and evaluate M&A targets in automotive software and B2B platforms, building models and managing diligence.
- •Develop a deep understanding of the European used car market, tracking competitors and translating signals into actionable insights.
- •Define AI product strategy and develop new AI products, translating strategic bets into business cases and KPIs.
- •Develop investor decks, board materials, and equity story narratives.
- •Requirements 1-3 years of experience in a demanding environment (startup, consulting, investment banking, VC/PE).
- •Sharp analytical and strategic thinking skills to bring structure to ambiguity.
- •Strong financial modeling skills (LBO, DCF, Operating Models).
- •Strong affinity for AI, daily use of AI tools, and understanding of AI's value and hype.
- •Bias for action and a track record of completing tasks.
- •Investor-grade communication skills (written and verbal).
- •Fluent German and English.
