- •Canonical is seeking Technical Authors to lead documentation efforts across engineering, business operations, and other departments.
- •These roles are not traditional technical writing positions and offer opportunities for growth at all levels.
- •Key Responsibilities Create, maintain, and improve software and other documentation.
- •Collaborate with team members to improve documentation contributions.
- •Engage with user communities to ensure documentation meets their needs.
- •Help standardize content structure, presentation, style, and language.
- •Advance the state of the art in documentation at Canonical and in the open-source community.
- •Requirements Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- •A technical writer with a programmer’s mindset, or a programmer with a record of producing excellent documentation.
- •Experience in software development contexts.
- •Familiarity with Linux, command line, Git, Sphinx, and reStructuredText.
- •BSc/BA degree or equivalent.
