TL;DR
Lead government relations and public policy to defend and expand automated enforcement laws.
- •BusPatrol is seeking an agile Policy Leader with expertise in Public Policy and Government Relations to serve as Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations.
- •This senior leader will design and execute complex political strategies in a unique and highly complex political environment.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead public policy development, GR strategies, and legislative enablement efforts for automated enforcement laws.
- •Manage policy and GR at scale, directing complex political and advocacy strategies.
- •Supervise internal government relations teams and manage external lobbyists and counsel.
- •Develop state-by-state policy initiatives and work with partner municipalities on technology policy integration.
- •Travel and speak on behalf of BusPatrol, testifying at hearings and engaging in media interviews.
- •Requirements Minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience in state and local government or GR roles, with state lobbying experience being a must.
- •Proven track record of successfully lobbying multi-state legislation on contentious political issues.
- •Proven track record of leadership in a legislative enablement function, managing policy and GR at scale.
- •Experience operating as the #1 leader of a policy or government relations function.
- •Deep knowledge of state and local legislative processes, including legislative defense and complex political strategies.
