Senior Software Engineer to contribute to encoding product and support US customers.
- •Bitmovin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Encoding team.
- •This role involves shipping production code in the core encoding product and owning the technical relationship with US customers during European off-hours.
- •Key Responsibilities Contribute production code to the encoding stack (Java/Kotlin, C++).
- •Own US enterprise accounts technically during EU off-hours, triaging and troubleshooting encoding issues.
- •Debug live, distributed systems under customer pressure.
- •Travel to customer sites to support integrations and run technical workshops.
- •Feed field learnings back into product roadmap and sprint planning.
- •Requirements 5+ years of senior-level software engineering experience, strong in Java or C++. 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
- •Cloud experience (AWS and/or GCP), Docker, and hands-on experience with scalable distributed services.
- •Strong troubleshooting skills on live customer systems.
- •Based on the US East Coast or in Denver, willing to travel regularly.
