About the role
TL;DR
Lead data engineering for Hinge Health's data and ML platform.
- •Technical leader owning architecture and reliability of Hinge Health's data and ML platform, enabling real-time member experiences, analytics, and ML workloads.
- •Key Responsibilities Own platform architecture, standards, and long-term technical direction across ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.
- •Lead complex cross-functional initiatives, define data contracts, and manage schema evolution.
- •Improve reliability, SLAs/SLOs, observability, and incident response for critical pipelines.
- •Build tooling and practices to enable teams to own their data in a HIPAA-compliant environment.
- •Requirements 8+ years data engineering experience building production data platforms. 5+ years with Python and SQL; strong experience with distributed processing (PySpark, Flink, Spark). 3+ years deploying and operating cloud pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
- •Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
